Question about workout video?

I just purchased Kim Kardashians Look Good In Your Jeans By Friday ab workout video. I’m a busy mom and have not had time to go out and purchase the hand weights and fitness step required for the workouts but I am very anxious to try out the workouts in the evenings once my son is in bed. So I was just curious as to whether it would still be beneficial to do the workouts without the hand weights and fitness step or would it just be a waist of time til I purchase the required equipment?
