Gym Rat: Confessions of a cardio critic
The Gym Rat gives readers an inspiring glimpse into her own exercise cycle.
How can I prevent knee damage while doing Jillian Michaels’ fitness routines?
I really like doing the 30 day shreds, Boost Metabolism, and the No Trouble Zones. I find these routines to be very effective and Jillian has a quality about her that makes me stick with it. However, I’m a bit worried about my knees. When I bend I can hear rice krispie sounds. I know that Jillian is in her mid to late 30’s so I’m wondering what she does to save her own knees. Thanks for any advice.
PS – I’m already looking into a foam roller to use on my IT bands as they are really tight.
stay hydrated. it helps keep the fluid around your joints replenished. wear the right shoes… you need a perfect fit and good support.
