Rebond Foam Machines-Rebond Carpet Pad,scrap Foam Usage (Shredder For Pillow & Cushion Stuffing, Rebonding For Carpet Underlayer
REBONDING FOAM PROCEDURE
GENERAL DESCRIPTION :
ReboTec – recycling of trimmings
“ReboTec is a process, in which slab stock waste and trimmings are comminuted into flakes, then compressed into PU-bonded rectangular or cylindrical blocks that are subsequently cut to size. “
STEPS:
① grinding or shredder
② Grinded granule mixed with polyurethane adhesive compressed in the mould
③ Cut to size
DETAILS EXPRESSION FOR THE STEPS:
⑴ grinding or shredder :
” Grinding is a recycling process, in which foam trimmings are converted into loose flakes(by our HHRG-22/11).These are then ground into a powder through shear action in a roller mill. Larger particles are filtered and then fed to the mill until all particles fall into the specified The performance data of a crushing system for large-scale industrial use shown on the left are impressive: upto300 kg flakes are ground into powder of lessthan0.2 mm grain size every hour. The on-line metering unit feeds up to 70 kg of powder per minute into the polyol stream. With a second metering unit running in parallel, up to 140 kg of powder per minute can be processed. “
Grinding granule size :
2mm , 8mm , 16mm ….. The size of the granule (flakes) is depend on the density and application of the bonded foam,
Density below 100kg/cubic meter bonded block most tend to size of 8 or 16 mm for the flakes, which most apply for mattress and carpet .size of 2mm nearly used for some high density areas , such as shoes pad , ect.
⑵ Grinded granule mixed with polyurethane adhesive:
“The trimmings are shredded into flakes before being wetted with a polyurethane adhesive, then blended in a mixer(tank) and discharged into a mould. Since the loose flakes have a significantly lower bulk density than the finished block, the flakes are compressed inside the mould. Rebounded foam is subsequently formed by adding hot steam and pressure. “
1> steam, here, to speed up the dry of inside adhesive .it’s several times faster than the one without steam
2> pressure, compressed into PU-bonded rectangular or cylindrical blocks into the mould
3> Steam and compressed happen in the same time.
⑶ cut to size , when bonded block finished ,you can cut the rebonding foam into the size that you wanted .
All process finished.
Recyle machines needed for the project as following :
1ST
HHRG-22A SHREDDER
you can use our general shredder to crushing your scrap foams , you see , our HHRG-22A is designed for shredded variouse different kinds of foams ,we strongely suggest you to use our this model , which is very convient , easy to reparing , you can have a look of the video by click below link :
2ND :
mould and recyle pressing systerm
use our square block mould recyle systerm to mould and glue your shredded flakes into one whole block , this mould and pressing systerm allow you to mould flexible and hard pu panel flakes into mould size , you can have look of the video :
3RD
HORIZONTAL or vertical TRIMMING AND CUTTING
horizontal or vertical splitting to trimming your block into regular size ,and cut sheet size as you wanted , you can have a look of the video :
the most confusing part is which horizontal cutting model to use to cut your hard pu block , yes , vertical cutting machine , of course , we are sure , it’s no problem to cut hard foam , because , it’s can cut honeycomb paper , eva … hard materials , what’s more , it’s cutting bladeknife can be changed to saw ,
you see you can use our HHHS- 1650R/2150R rebond foam horizontal cutting /splitting , it’s bladeknife , not saw, however , for your hard pu foam , we usually use splitting saw HHHS-1250RI/1650RI
for horizotal splitting machine , we need you to choose one of it , others , we can insure you , ok

Foam paint rollers are they the same?
I just had a look at screwfix website and they got 2 different brands of 4″ foam rollers, the harris ones are £3.99 for 10 and the stanley ones are £6.89 for 10, as the price is a bit of a difference what is the difference between the 2 and what ones would be best to buy.
Screwfix are good, but if there is ever anything made or cr*p quality screwfix will be selling it.
Pile rollers let you apply paint more thickly, which is good for protection, but thicker paint means a comparatively rougher finish. I use foam rollers and I overstretch the paint, which means I have to do more coats to get the thickness, but my finish can be perfectly flat, depending how extreme I am in stretching the paint out. So for fine kitchen cabinets I use foa rollers and for the rougher work I use pile.
Most paint cannot dry if it cannot get air. So if you are using oil-based paint you can wrap your roller in food bags (no air) overnight for a few nights, but never try to clean them, just throw them away. You can wash out those with water based paints.
Better than foam roller are a kind of flock roller, often orange in colour, but they don’t last long with oil-based paints.
You will generally get better results with oil-based paints.
Although there must be some poor quality foam rollers out there, both Harris and Stanley should be ok.
